Sugar House Utah: The U. of U.

The University Hospital complex and University of Utah sit high on the east bench of Salt Lake City. This photo was
taken in January from the flanks of Van Cott Mountain.
The Park Building is the administrative heart of the University of Utah.
The Olympic Legacy Bridge connects the student housing at the University of Utah with the lower campus. The
student housing is among the most spacious, modern and livable in the nation, having been built as the Olympic
Village for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Sugarhouse Utah real estate is about a five-minute drive.
The 2008 Ute football team went 13-0, won the Sugar Bowl and finished ranked No. 2.

The University of Utah is
the oldest university
west of the Missouri
River. It has several
internationally
programs,
and its
tuition is
a relative
bargain
compared
with other
universities. The dorms
are pretty new and very
nice, and the sports
teams are among the
nation's best. The men's
basketball program
finished No. 2 in 1998,
while the football team
finished No. 4 in 2005. It's
where Kirk went to school.
Located just north of Salt Lake City's Sugar House
west of the Missouri River. It was founded in 1850,
just three years after the Mormons arrived in the
Salt Lake Valley. Compared with a lot of schools
around the country, the U. is a bargain. Yet the
educational opportunities are second to none. The
same goes for its athletic teams. The football team
capped the 2008 season with a demonstrative win
in the Sugar Bowl over a cocky Alabama team, and
finished No. 2 in the final AP rankings. The
gymnastics team is a perennial fixture in the top 5
of the rankings. Click on the link below for more.
