Sugar House Utah Real Estate Agent
|

I was born in 1959 in Cheverly, Md. I have
lived in Maryland, Tennessee, West
Virginia, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Ohio,
Illinois, Missouri and Georgia, so my love
of Sugar House, Utah, does not come from
a lack of perspective. I came to Utah in
1977 to attend the University of Utah and
graduated with a degree in journalism. I
spent the first half of my career as an
editor with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution
and an editor and editorial writer with The
Salt Lake Tribune. I enjoy my work in real
estate much more, especially getting to
know new people. When I get some free
time I hike and bike in the foothills above
Sugar House. If I get a free couple of days
I'll head to southern Utah for some
camping. Give me a week or more and I will
head a little farther south. I've spent a
cumulative year out of the past 30 south of
the border.
This photo was
taken in August
2007 by my
daughter at 5
a.m. in an airport
in Panama.
Don't let this tranquil photo of my lovely wife Alison fool you. Put
her in a pair of hiking boots and show her the trail and she will
hike you into a heart attack. We've been married 23 years.
From the top of Angel Island in the Gulf of
California, my good friend Gil Gillenwater
surveys the miles of Sonoran desert he just
crossed on a hike from the sea to the peak. Gil
runs an amazing charity based in Agua Prieta,
Mexico, called Rancho Feliz. Gil's no bleeding
heart dreamer, and he has never made a dime
for his work. His organization is just plain
effective. Click on the link above to read more.
My kids Hannah, 15, and Peter, 18. Hannah's in high
school. Peter's a freshman at the University of Utah.
To the left is Torie, a 7-year-old mastiff
mix. She has a very tough life.
