Hogle Zoo has
undergone quite a
face-lift in the past few
years. It's a small zoo
with pleasant shady
paths, and you can see
the whole thing in just a
few hours.

Besides the great houses and schools, the proximity of the area to Salt Lake City's top attractions is
what makes Sugar House Utah real estate so desirable. Click on the links below to get to pages with
more information about these great places. Here's why Salt Lake City real estate is such a good buy.
Sugar House Park
Sugar House Park is the epicenter of the Sugar House area, it's heart and soul and the reason that anyone
within walking distance considers themselves residents of Sugar House Utah. It is a scenic island of open space
in the sea of otherwise tightly bunched commercial and residential real estate, and you will fall in love with it the
first time you visit.

The Bonneville Shoreline Trail runs along the flanks
of the foothills just east of Sugar House. In minutes,
you can be hiking and mountain biking through a
spectacular setting.

What an incredible place! I live near 1700 East and
1700 South and can walk from the bustle of Salt
Lake City to a tranquil wilderness in about two
minutes. It's so pretty along this Emigration Creek
corridor after a snowfall it'll make you cry.

This beautiful canyon is minutes away from Sugar
House Utah by car. I can ride to the mouth in about
20 minutes on my bicycle from 17th and 17th. It is
known for great hiking, mountain biking, and
cross-country skiing, and the ride up the blacktop
on a road bike can be an hour-long butt-kicker.
Moose, deer and cougars can be seen here, and
it's the most reliable place in the Salt Lake area to
spot a rattlesnake. But don't worry,
snake-a-phobes, the rattlers tend to hang out in the
brush near the creek and along one particular
hiking trail that parallels a side creek.

Red Butte Botanical Garden and Arboretum
Red Butte Garden is a great resource for
gardeners, and even if your thumb is brown
it's a wonderful place to stroll around. During
the summer, it hosts live concerts. Artists
such as Chris Isaak, Bruce Hornsby and Big
Head Todd and the Monsters have played.
